Rubens bed and breakfast Amsterdam is conveniently located in the museum district in the city centre. It is within walking distance (or a few tram stops) of the major museums and main tourist attractions. The up market shopping street Beethovenstraat is nearby, exuberant Amsterdam night life is not far away either.

The neighbourhood was designed as a part of "Plan Amsterdam Zuid" by the famous architect and town planner Berlage in the 1930's, one of the secrets of Amsterdam: the unspoiled art deco district. The architectural style is called the "Amsterdamse School." Rubens bed and breakfast Amsterdam has been renovated and brought back to its original style with modern comforts. The apartment is decorated in the European style of the 1920's and - 30's: Art Deco . The guest rooms have double beds and private bathrooms.

Amsterdam bed and breakfast Rubens is owned and operated by two Dutch guys: Tjeerd Visser, born in Friesland, who worked for the international branch of the Dutch Postal organization and Franklin Wollring, an Amsterdam local, who was a purser with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
